Donations Policy
Loans and Donations:
Do you own a piece of local history that you would like to donate to Castle House Museum? If so, please read our collection policy below. This will help you decide whether we are the best fit for your item. To make a donation please email info@castlehousemuseum.org.uk with details of the item and its history of ownership, including photos if you can. A member of the team will get back to you as soon as possible. Please don’t post your object without contacting us first.
We are very grateful to everyone who thinks of donating their items to us here at Castle House Museum. However, we are not able to accept all items into our collection. Please do not be offended by this. It may be that we already have the same or similar item in our collection, our storeroom may be at capacity, or it could be a type of item we do not collect. We will always advise you on next steps and other heritage organisations who may be better suited.
